co*cktails and Other Drinks
This refreshing white wine co*cktail is easy on your waistline and wallet!
Sometimes you want a cool, refreshing co*cktail but don’t want a lot of alcohol or calories. Enter this Strawberry White Wine Spritzer. With only a splash of wine and plenty of berries and bubbles, you can sip these all afternoon without them going to your head or waistline! If you want even less wine, like none, try using lemonade instead. That’s how I made this special drink for my boys, and they loved it. I probably used 50/50 lemonade and seltzer in theirs, and they used a spoon to eat the berries at the end. Not only is this co*cktail good for a diet, it’s also good for your wallet if you need to entertain a crowd and stretch your wine. It’s easy on the eyes too! I hope you enjoy this wine co*cktailas much as we did!

With only a splash of wine, these refreshing co*cktails are perfect for an afternoon of sipping!
- Total Time: 3 minutes
- Yield: 4 1x
Ingredients
Scale
- 3–4 fresh strawberries diced
- 1/4 lime
- 2 oz. white wine I used sauvignon blanc
- unsweetened lime-flavored seltzer (like Crystal Geyser or La Croix)
Instructions
Fill a tall glass halfway with ice.
Add wine and strawberries, and fill glass nearly full with seltzer. Squeeze in lime juice, and gently stir with a long spoon.
Serve with a skewer for eating the berries if desired.
Notes
If you are looking for more sweetness but still want to keep calories down, try using diet lemon-lime soda instead of the seltzer.

super funny p.s. Without any prompting, my husband grabbed a spoon to dig the strawberries from the bottom of the glass. Just like your boys :-)

been there, done that :-) (as in just now after reading your post). Watch the facebook! It’s tasty, but I like bigger on the alcohol and also more sweet. But my husband was walking in as I snapped my last shot, so I handed it over like I had made him a co*cktail to celebrate his coming home. And he loves it as he’s all over the wine thing. So thanks for making me look like a good wife :-)

I couldn’t find anything on your FB page, but I’m looking forward to seeing your version! I can completely understand wanting more wine and more sweet. My version was very watery and light. Basically, it was wine and strawberry flavored water, which was just what I was after at the time! I’m glad your drink was a hit both with you and your husband, and cute that he got a spoon! I used the skewer, which made it like an activity as well as a beverage ;)
