I downloaded the free Great Clips app (which is available for iOS and Android) and it allows you to see wait times at all of the closest Great Clips and to easily check-in to any of the mapped locations! There are two close to my house so it is super nice to know which one is less busy so I know which one to check in at. Then you just click the icon with the green words “Check In”, enter your name and phone number and submit. It lets you know check in is complete and offers you directions, sales, or just hit “done”.

Tipping anywhere from 20 to 25 percent is a great range for anyone who is a salon regular or just received a haircut they love. Tipping properly is a great way to strengthen the relationship with your stylist.
While some hair types may hold better the second or third day of washing, in most cases it's best to visit the salon with clean, dry hair. Despite what you may have heard before proms and formal dances back in the day, it's actually preferable to work with hair that is free of oil and buildup.
Remember the golden rule: "You should tip 20% on the entire service cost, not per individual," says Schweitzer. So if your haircut and blow-dry cost $40 total, and your color was $60, your total service cost comes to $100. That means you should tip $20 divided between the colorist and stylist.
So if you can't check in online, it may be a sign that you're being held back for a later flight. In some cases, a space can become available at the last minute, which is why you're then able to check in at the airport as if nothing's happened.
Online check-in is available from 24 hours until 30 minutes before the flight leaves for domestic flights. For international travel, it's 24 hours until 90 minutes before departure.
A $5 tip for a haircut was good just a few years ago, but San Francisco barber Kevin Tanksley says nowadays anything less than $10 isn't really generous.
Generally speaking, for good service, you should tip 15 to 20 percent of the entire bill. Tip more for exceptional service or less for what you consider to be inadequate service. Tipping is your way of saying “job well done,” so tip more if the person performing the service has gone above and beyond what is expected.
Ultimately, the decision to shower before or after a haircut depends on personal preferences and specific circumstances. Factors such as the time of day, personal hygiene routine, and hairstyle goals all play a role in making the choice that suits you best.
Opt for a wet cut if your hair is experiencing a lot of damage, as your stylist will better be able to assess the health of your freshly washed strands. If you have naturally curly hair and wear your texture every day, you may want to ask for a dry cut. Dry cuts are also great for anyone hoping to slay layered locks.
When to wash. Rossi generally tells his patients they should wash their hair once or twice per week. But if you've had chemical treatments that can make your hair drier — such as bleach, perms or relaxers — you might want to wash it less than once weekly to avoid breaking or brittle hair or split ends, he said.
If she does a simple dry cut (a haircut without washing or shampooing first), she says that a $5-$10 tip is a great tip. That service takes her anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes, but rounding up to an hour would be the best thing to do. Certified Master Extension Specialist Kendra Ward agrees.
The recommended tipping standard for barbers is 15-20% of the total cost of the haircut. This means that if your cut costs $40, you should tip between $6-$8. Of course, tipping is always at your discretion. Feel free to tip more or less, depending on those considerations above.
According to Consumer Reports, you should tip at least 15% of the service fee, even if the service wasn't the best. If you're debating whether to tip a smaller amount because you're not happy with your service, you can also consider speaking to the manager or owner first.
Reasons might include: if you have more than one passport, if you're a certain nationality, if your flight was booked at the very last minute, if your flight was booked by someone else, or if you have the same name as a person of interest.
