The expansive regions that form The Lands Between in Elden Ring are home to some of the most ferocious monsters ever conceived by FromSoftware. Some bosses can be surprisingly easier than others, but some warrant two weapons instead of one to create ultra-powerful attacks.

Elden Ring: How To Get The White Mask
Everything you need to know to obtain the White Mask in Elden Ring.
Luckily, the power stance mechanic from previous Souls games carries over into Elden Ring. Power stance is the ability to wield two weapons, one in each hand, as long as they're from the same class. It can be of great help to ensure a smoother experience in combat. Here are a few of the most effective weapons you can power stance.
Updated July 9, 2024, by Andrew Scariati: Some of Elden Ring's best power stance weapons received a shakeup with the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. We've included some of the best weapons from the DLC to the best power stance weapons Elden Ring has to offer, with many more combinations waiting to be discovered.
11 Grafted Dragon And Katar
Fists
Getting all up close and personal with enemies and giant bosses in Elden Ring can be intimidating, but having the Grafted Dragon and Katar weapons on your fists curbs some of that angst.
A fully upgraded Grafted Dragon can have a maximum physical damage of 218, in addition to Strength and Dexterity scaling, and comes with the Bear Witness! Skill.
This allows the dragon head to spew fire from your fist.
The Katar weapon in this loadout provides additional bleed damage from its Impaling Thrust skill, which can penetrate enemy shields if you were to designate that skill instead. The maximum damage comes in at 237. The Katar is also great for stealth, and evokes the hidden blade from Assassin’s Creed.
10 Cinquedea And Reduvia
Daggers
The combination of the Cinquedea and Reduvia daggers is an excellent display of power stance when choosing to defeat enemies with smaller blades. The Reduvia dagger has the Reduvia Blood Blade skill attached to it, which sends out projectiles of blood when swung that inflict bleed damage to enemies. The Cinquedea features the Quickstep ability, which provides a dodge-like maneuver of side-shuffling around enemies.
The Cinquedea can be upgraded to a maximum of 240 physical damage, and the Reduvia dagger to 190. However, Cinquedea is more for a Strength build, with Reduvia more for a Dexterity build.
9 Gargoyle's Twinblade And Gargoyle's Black Blades
Twinblades
As the name suggests, these twinblade weapons really do go hand-in-hand in terms of their stats. A maxed-out Gargoyle's Twinblade can obtain B-tier Strength scaling and accumulate 301 damage. The Gargoyle's Black Blades also have B-tier Strength scaling when upgraded to their limit, and 237 Faith damage. Both these twinblades have the Spinning Slash skill, which follows a swirling swing of the blade with a heavy overhead blow.

A power stance of these two twinblades offers a ranged attack with effective melee damage. The downside is that you must fight two daunting bosses to acquire them, and the Gargoyle's Black Blades can’t use Ashes of War.
8 Halo Scythe And Grave Scythe
Reapers
Of all the Reapers, the Halo Scythe is a must for your Faith build. One of its unique characteristics is the Holy damage of its Miquella's Ring of Light skill. The scythe glows gold and shoots giant rings, which can travel a long distance to hit their targets. It becomes powerful enough to kill smaller foes in two hits.
The Halo Scythe has significant bleed damage, and amounts to 289 total physical attack. However, it also has weaker Holy damage upon upgrading. The Grave Scythe is a perfect complementary power stance Reaper, because it scales equally with Strength and Dexterity and has higher base damage. It uses the Spinning Slash Skill, but inflicts further bleed damage and can use Ashes of War.
7 Omen Cleaver And Beastman's Cleaver
Curved Greatswords
The Omen Cleaver and Beastman's Cleaver are truly beasts among weapons. However, you'll need great Strength to wield them — 25 for the Beastman's and 19 for the Omen Cleaver — making them good options for Strength-builds.
The Beastman's Cleaver can be upgraded to a total of 350 physical damage plus solid B-tier Strength scaling, while the Omen can hit 347 physical damage.
These Curved Greatswords posture immense strength and can hit enemies hard. They both have Spinning Slash, but each can take on Ashes of War to make this an absolute monster of a power stance.
6 Golden Halberd And Commander's Standard
Halberds
The Golden Halberd is an exceptional choice for a power stance in its weapon category, particularly for players who use Faith and love to inflict Holy damage. This weapon requires even more Strength to wield, at least 30, but is well worth building. It hits a maximum of 328 physical damage with B-tier Strength scaling, and 213 Holy damage.
Golden Vow Skillsees you raise the Golden Halberd, with an energy burst granting you a significant boost to damage and defenses while in conflict. It lasts 45 seconds and increases attack damage by 11.5 percent, while reducing your hits by seven and a half percent.
The Commander's Standard, a former Commander's Halberd with a tattered flag wrapped around it, has a max damage of 338 with B-tier Strength scaling, making this a powerful combo.
5 Executioner's Greataxe And Greataxe
Greataxes
The Executioner's Greataxe is among the most powerful of all Greataxes, with a base damage of 150. This Greataxe also has its own skill, War Cry, which is a buff that will increase physical attack damage by seven and a half percent and Strength scaling by five percent. It also is capable of changing strong attacks into charging attacks. The Executioner's Greataxe is another heavier weapon, one that requires 34 Strength to wield.

Track down this powerful incantation in Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.
Aside from the C-tier Strength scaling, the ordinary Greataxe does well, and has the Barbaric Roar skill which functions the same as War Cry. These two axes in power stance can make for some heavy damage, covering a wide range.
4 Dragon Halberd And Guardian's Swordspear
Halberds
Another duo from the Halberd family of weapons, this one is more menacing. The Dragon Halberd is a lighter weapon to wield, and produces slightly more damage than the Golden Halberd when fully upgraded. Its specialty is that it's more effective against Dragons, dealing an additional ten percent damage to Dragons and five percent more to Ancient Dragons. It comes with B-tier Strength and C-tier Dexterity scaling.
The Guardian's Swordspear is a perfect power stance weapon to pair it with thanks to its B-tier Dexterity scaling. It complements the damage of the Dragon Halberd, and can also use Ashes of War.
Hand-to-Hand Arts
The Hand-to-Hand Arts weapon class was newly introduced with the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, and it includes two of Elden Ring's best power stance weapons. Dryleaf Arts and Dane's Footwork, the signature weapons of Dryleaf Dane, are essentially hand and foot wraps for an unarmed build.
Dryleaf Arts can be obtained by defeating Dryleaf Dane, one of the best new bosses in the Shadow of the Erdtree.
Dane's Footwork can be acquired by looting them from Dryleaf Dane's body after you beat the trio of bosses in Enir-Ilim.
When combined, their power stance moveset can do devastating damage, especially with mid-air attacks. The flurry of fists can hit your opponents multiple times, lending themselves for rapid bursts of damage.
2 Grafted Blade Greatsword And Ruins Greatsword
Colossal Swords
The Grafted Blade Greatsword has the base damage of 162, the second highest for a Colossal Sword, and the capability of dealing 396 physical damage in tandem with its B-tier Strength scaling. The default skill is Oath of Vengeance, which boosts all the player's stats by five for a brief period.
It's a handy skill to have and pays homage to the Iron Throne of George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series.
The Ruins Greatsword has impressive S-tier Strength scaling, and damage in the 300s. It also comes with a unique skill, Wave of Destruction, an electric purple gravitational force that runs through the ground and knocks enemies off their feet. When power stanced together, you'll be formidable to even the scariest bosses. However, you'll need at least 50 Strength to wield them.
1 Double Prelate's Inferno Crozier - Colossal Weapons
This loadout is an incredibly potent build. However, it's only possible if you start a New Game Plus, or if a friend supplies you with a second I Prelate's Inferno Crozier. Nevertheless, it's one of the most impressive power stances in Elden Ring, one that is sure to provide a sense of relief going into any boss battle or PvP challenge.
The Prelate's Charge skill allows you to smash the heavy red hammer onto the ground, creating a pool of flames. You can then charge, using the Crozier as a battering ram against enemies. Its base attack damage comes in at 156, and can scale to 339 with B-tier Strength scaling. It can also use Ashes of War, causing additional bleeding, poison, or frost damage depending on how you build it.
