If staying at Victory Anexe you have a choice of two breakfasts: light continental on the 6th floor or full buffet in Sarkies. Go for Sarkies in the morning and take your evening co*cktail on 6th.

If you are looking for hotel with state-of-the-art tech, or extremely flawless service, this is not for you. It is for you if you like theme hotels, plus it is one of the best in Penang.

The plus: iconic hotel, spacious rooms, comfortable bedding, good service, yummy CKT (b’fast buffet). The lows: dated (not the style), far from spotless, missing a certain charm, feels barebone/basic

Take the complimentary yoga class every morning 8:30-9:30 (check with reception beforehand). Consider how much a yoga class costs these days; plus it can only do you good.

Been here on several occasions. I love the old colonial style of the hotel. Service is good. The new wing rooms are still relatively new and is quite spacious.

I found it Very classy & 5 star service hotel with friendly staff to assist us all the time. It was beyond our expectations & We would strongly recommend this hotel to our friends too..

Venue rooms, good view. We didn't stay so can't comment on the rooms but looking at the lobby and facilities it looks like they have nice rooms to stay too.

This hotel provides great customer service, magnificent view from the room, nice room concept, and great facilities. Overall, it's great. Good job.

Spotty wifi but it's free! Works best in morning when hotel guests are still asleep. Good enough to check out apps though, so search and download "EasyConvo" on the app stores!

Classic and full of heritage. Most of their room (all suite) are sea facing. Highly recommended.

First impression when entering the hotel is like I'm in the Raffles Hotel in Singapore! A very historical building!

The Victory Annexe is stunning! The decor is brilliant. The free food and drinks in the Planters Lounge is great!

Their tiramisu and cheese cake is a must-try! New variety of desserts! Oh, their char koay teow is surprisingly good! :)

Breakfast buffet not great, dim sum feel like having dim sum in Thailand? Coffee made of cheap beans. Don't compare it to Mandarin Oriental of BKK.

Beautiful hotel design. Good environment. The room is not very spacious. Quite tight with everything fit in. The tea taste average. But lot of variety.

The salmon sashimi is ok. But it's because they didn't prepare it, they just cut it. Please. If u think this buffet is worth the RM70 or RM100 at weekends, you need to go out of Pg a bit more n see.

It is just simply awesome!

Our room is beautiful and impressively large, but the buffet is very disappointing. The curry is brown glop and the whole desert offering was lackluster. Restaurant staff wasn't friendly either.

Sarkies Corner serves Ala-carte while Sarkies Annex serves buffet lunch and dinner!

Nice lunch buffet with lots of food to select..some desserts are nice..but some are not

come here with your special one ! the sea side garden is marvelously romantic . the dinner served here is great ! :)

A long established & historical hotel in the city

Beautifully restored, but just missing that extra touch in comparable hotels ie raffles (in sg) and the galle face (sri lanka).

The small co*cktail bar has live music and decent drinks. Careful, the mint julep is good but tiny.
